MPS are delighted to have acted for Joule's Brewery in the acquisition of the former Bistrot Pierre site on Gas Street within Birmingham City Centre.

Bistrot Pierre is a Grade II listed property benefiting from an enviable location fronting the Birmingham Canal Basin/ Gas Street, in close proximity to the Mailbox, Brindley Place, The Arena Birmingham, Symphony Hall, the International Convention Centre and on the edge of Broad Street. Joule's propose an ambitious and sensitive refurbishment of the property to convert Bistrot Pierre to a Joule's Tap House.

Anna Brakel, Development Director at Joule’s Brewery commented “We’re very proud to have acquired the former Bistrot Pierre site on Gas Street, right in the centre of Birmingham. This marks a big moment for us, our journey in Birmingham began with the Red Lion in the Jewellery Quarter in early 2024, and later the New Inn in Harborne in 2024. Gas Street now completes the trio, and for a small brewery from Market Drayton, it feels quite special. We’ve long hoped to find the right opportunity in the heart of the city, and this site delivers above and beyond in every aspect. The purchase was secured with support from Matt Phillips, of Matthew Phillips Surveyors, who also acted for us during the acquisition of the Red Lion, Jewellery Quarter and New Inn, Harborne.”
